Shannon Burns has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2007, bringing nearly two decades of experience and compassionate care to her clients. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy from a technical college in Aurora, Colorado, laying the foundation for a career rooted in both skill and empathy.
After graduation, Shannon returned to her home state of Texas and began practicing in Austin. Her time there was marked by a wide range of professional experiences—from corporate massage settings and chiropractic offices to yoga studios and serving as an on-call therapist for a historic luxury hotel in Downtown Austin. This diverse exposure shaped her adaptable and intuitive approach to bodywork.
In 2012, Shannon made an adventurous move to Panama, Central America. She quickly built a thriving out-call practice among the ex-pat community, traveling along the Pacific coastline to provide high-quality, U.S.-trained massage therapy to her laid-back, retirement-age clientele. She spent several years living in a house over the water on an island near Costa Rica, soaking up the sun and serenity. Her journey also included a brief stay in Pucon, Chile before returning to her small hometown in Texas with her two daughters.
In 2018, Shannon became re-licensed in Texas and launched her own massage therapy business in North Texas. Most recently, she worked in a clinical setting as a Medical Massage Therapist, focusing on therapeutic techniques and pain management.
Now residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Shannon enjoys the cooler climate and slower pace. She spends her free time painting, learning needlepoint, and cherishing moments with her daughters, her husband, and her beloved 13-year-old rescue dog from Panama.
